We collect as little as we can. Last updated 23 October 2026.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter: your email address, the page you signed up on and the time. We use it only to send the monthly email.
- SIM reports: the phone, network, what happened, and anything you choose to add (area, notes, optional email). We use reports to update compatibility results. We may publish anonymised summaries such as "2 readers report calls over 2G on giffgaff". We never publish emails.
- Data requests: if you use the form below, the email you give us and your message.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you give with the tick box on each form. You can withdraw it any time.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, no selling or sharing your data.
- We don't store your IP address with your submission.
Where it's stored
Submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes requests on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Newsletter emails until you unsubscribe. SIM reports for up to 3 years, emails in reports for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data. Under UK GDPR you can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). In the EU you can complain to your national data protection authority, such as the CNPD in Portugal, the CNIL in France or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
