Does the Cat B35 work on EE?
Mostly, with a catch.
Works with caveatsCalls and texts can fall back to 2G. EE starts switching 2G off from May 2029. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on EE. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 20).
Expect it to work, but read the switch-off dates below. That's where the catch is.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and EE's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
EE (UK)
- 3G: Switched off (completed 2024)
- 2G: Staying on for now; EE says it will start switching 2G off from May 2029
Cat B35
- 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
- 3G: Not published or not checked yet
- 4G bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20
- 4G Calling: unknown – No network or maker VoLTE confirmation found.
The same applies to networks that run on EE: BT Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
