Does the Doro 6820 work on 1&1?

Last checked 23 Oct 20265 sourcesWorked out from published specs

Yes, for now.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. 1&1 has no 2G of its own and uses Vodafone's 2G through national roaming, which ends in September 2028. It supports 4G Calling, but we haven't found confirmation that it's enabled on 1&1. Its 4G bands aren't published, so we can't confirm 4G data.

It works today, but calls on the Doro 6820 rely on a part of 1&1's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and 1&1's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

1&1 (Germany)

  • 3G: No 3G network
  • 2G: No 2G of its own: uses Vodafone's 2G via national roaming, so Vodafone's September 2028 date applies

Doro 6820

  • 2G: 2G quad-band (Three device page)
  • 3G: Not published or not checked yet
  • 4G bands: 4G (bands not published by Three)
  • 4G Calling: yes – Three lists 4G Calling as supported.
