Calls and texts work over 2G, which WindTre keeps running with no switch-off date announced, and 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 20).

Nothing on WindTre's published plans affects this pairing right now.

WindTre (Italy)

  • 3G: On 900 MHz only (2100 MHz 3G closed from June 2024); a software-block trial was approved in October 2026
  • 2G: On; no switch-off date announced

Doro Leva L10

  • 2G: GSM 900 / 1800 (Doro UK spec sheet)
  • 3G: 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28
  • 4G Calling: yes – Doro's spec sheet lists VoLTE: Yes, and Free (France) lists VoLTE as enabled for it.

The same applies to networks that run on WindTre: Very Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
