Last checked 23 Oct 20267 sourcesConfirmed by a source

Yes, it works.

Works

Orange's own list of compatible phones shows VoLTE (4G calling) for the Doro Leva L30, so calls keep working after 2G is switched off.

You should be able to put a Orange SIM in the Doro Leva L30 and make calls, send texts and use data.

This comes from a network list, the network selling it, a maker statement or an owner report.

Orange (France)

  • 3G: On until the end of 2028 (switch-off starts then)
  • 2G: Off across mainland France since 20 October 2026 (switched off in waves from 31 March); official no-coverage "white zones" keep it until 1–15 December 2026

Doro Leva L30

  • 2G: 2G supported (Vodafone UK spec sheet)
  • 3G: 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40
  • 4G Calling: yes – Vodafone UK's spec sheet lists VoLTE (4G voice): Yes.

The same applies to networks that run on Orange: Sosh. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
