Does the HMD Barbie Phone work on Orange?
Mostly, with a catch.
Works with caveatsWith 2G being switched off, calls and texts fall back to 3G, which this phone supports (900 MHz). Orange plans to start switching 3G off from the end of 2028. It supports 4G Calling, but we haven't found confirmation that it's enabled on Orange. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 20, 28).
It works today, but calls on the HMD Barbie Phone rely on a part of Orange's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Orange's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
Orange (France)

The same applies to networks that run on Orange: Sosh. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
