Light's own compatibility checker says none of the current Light Phone II models are compatible with networks in Ireland (checked 23 Oct 2026).

Eir (Ireland)

  • 3G: Being switched off now: phased from 1 October 2026 (Donegal first) to 6 November 2026
  • 2G: On; no Irish operator has announced a 2G switch-off

Light Phone II (International)

  • 2G: Not listed (Light lists 4G LTE only)
  • 3G: Not published or not checked yet
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28 (International model TLP202)
  • 4G Calling: yes – Light's FAQ lists 'LTE FDD + VoLTE'.

The same applies to networks that run on Eir: GoMo, Lyca Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
