Does the Light Phone II (International) work on Orange?

Last checked 23 Oct 20268 sourcesLight's checker (23 Oct 2026)

Yes, it should.

Works

Light's own compatibility checker says the Light Phone II (International model) will work with Orange in France (it lists Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free; checked 23 Oct 2026). It's a 4G-only phone with no 2G or 3G, so calls already go over 4G Calling and the 2G switch-off doesn't change anything for it.

Calls, texts and data should all work with a Orange SIM.

Orange (France)

  • 3G: On until the end of 2028 (switch-off starts then)
  • 2G: Off across mainland France since 20 October 2026 (switched off in waves from 31 March); official no-coverage "white zones" keep it until 1–15 December 2026

Light Phone II (International)

  • 2G: Not listed (Light lists 4G LTE only)
  • 3G: Not published or not checked yet
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28 (International model TLP202)
  • 4G Calling: yes – Light's FAQ lists 'LTE FDD + VoLTE'.

The same applies to networks that run on Orange: Sosh. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
