Does the Light Phone II (North American) work on Three?
No, not any more.
Doesn't workIts 4G bands (2, 4, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26 (North American model)) don't match Three's (1, 3, 20, 32), and Three has no 2G to fall back to.
We wouldn't buy the Light Phone II (North American) for a Three SIM.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Three's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
Three (UK)
- 3G: Switched off (November 2025)
- 2G: Three has never had a 2G network, so calls need 4G Calling (VoLTE)
Light Phone II (North American)
- 2G: Not listed
- 3G: Not published or not checked yet
- 4G bands: 2, 4, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26 (North American model)
- 4G Calling: yes – Light says this model works in the US and Canada only.
The same applies to networks that run on Three: SMARTY, iD Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
