Does the Mudita Kompakt (Global) work on Movistar?
Yes, it works.
WorksCalls and texts work over 2G, which Movistar keeps running with no switch-off date announced, and 4G data should work (shared bands: 3, 7, 20).
You should be able to put a Movistar SIM in the Mudita Kompakt (Global) and make calls, send texts and use data.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Movistar's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
Movistar (Spain)
- 3G: Being switched off: started early 2026, due to finish during 2027
- 2G: On; no firm switch-off date (Spanish operators expect to keep 2G until around 2030)
Mudita Kompakt (Global)
- 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800
- 3G: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
- 4G bands: FDD 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 26; TDD 34, 38–41
- 4G Calling: yes – Mudita lists VoLTE support; owners on Mudita's forum report it depends on the carrier (works on Play in Poland, not registering on some Orange SIMs).
The same applies to networks that run on Movistar: Digi. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
