Does the Mudita Kompakt (Global) work on Vodafone?

It works, with caveats.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. Vodafone ends 2G for customers in September 2028. It supports 4G Calling, but we haven't found confirmation that it's enabled on Vodafone. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 38).

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when Vodafone switches that off.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Vodafone's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

Vodafone (Germany)

  • 3G: Switched off in 2021
  • 2G: On until September 2028 (kept for critical IoT only until the end of 2030)

Mudita Kompakt (Global)

  • 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: FDD 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 26; TDD 34, 38–41
  • 4G Calling: yes – Mudita lists VoLTE support; owners on Mudita's forum report it depends on the carrier (works on Play in Poland, not registering on some Orange SIMs).
