Does the Nokia 105 (2023, 2G) work on EE?

Yes, for now.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts work over 2G, but this is a 2G-only phone with no 4G. EE starts switching 2G off from May 2029, and then it will stop working.

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when EE switches that off.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and EE's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

EE (UK)

  • 3G: Switched off (completed 2024)
  • 2G: Staying on for now; EE says it will start switching 2G off from May 2029

Nokia 105 (2023, 2G)

  • 2G: GSM (2G only)
  • 3G: No 3G
  • 4G bands: None (2G-only phone)
  • 4G Calling: no – Three's device page lists 4G Calling as not supported.

The same applies to networks that run on EE: BT Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
