Works with caveats

Calls and texts work over 2G, but this is a 2G-only phone with no mobile data. KPN switches 2G off for good on 1 December 2027, and then it will stop working.

It works today, but calls on the Nokia 105 (2023, 2G) rely on a part of KPN's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and KPN's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

KPN (Netherlands)

  • 3G: Switched off (31 March 2022)
  • 2G: On until 1 December 2027 (KPN started moving customers who don't need it off 2G in March 2026)

Nokia 105 (2023, 2G)

  • 2G: GSM (2G only)
  • 3G: No 3G
  • 4G bands: None (2G-only phone)
  • 4G Calling: no – Three's device page lists 4G Calling as not supported.

The same applies to networks that run on KPN: Simyo. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
