Does the Nokia 110 4G (2024) work on O2?

Mostly, with a catch.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. O2 plans to start switching 2G off from 2029. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on O2. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 8, 20).

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when O2 switches that off.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and O2's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

O2 (UK)

  • 3G: Switched off (completed 2025/26)
  • 2G: Staying on for now; O2 plans to begin switching 2G off from 2029

Nokia 110 4G (2024)

  • 2G: GSM 900 / 1800
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20 (EU model)
  • 4G Calling: unknown – Not named on HMD's VoLTE-verified list.

The same applies to networks that run on O2: giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
