Does the Nokia 130 Music (2025) work on MEO?

Last checked 22 Oct 20263 sourcesWorked out from published specs

Mostly, with a catch.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts work over 2G, which MEO keeps for voice. This is a 2G-only phone, so there's no mobile data.

It works today, but calls on the Nokia 130 Music (2025) rely on a part of MEO's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and MEO's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

MEO (Portugal)

  • 3G: Switched off (completed 31 January 2024)
  • 2G: 2G stays on for voice calls nationwide

Nokia 130 Music (2025)

  • 2G: GSM 900 / 1800
  • 3G: No 3G
  • 4G bands: None (2G-only phone)
  • 4G Calling: no – 2G-only, so no 4G Calling.
