Does the Nokia 235 4G (2024) work on Free Mobile?

Q: Does the Nokia 235 4G (2024) work on Free Mobile?

Works with caveats. With 2G being switched off, calls and texts fall back to 3G, which this phone supports (900 MHz, 2100 MHz). Free hasn't announced a 3G switch-off date. It supports 4G Calling, but we haven't found confirmation that it's enabled on Free Mobile. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 28).

Yes, for now.

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when Free Mobile switches that off.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Free Mobile's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
