Does the Nokia 2720 Flip work on KPN?

Last checked 23 Oct 20265 sourcesWorked out from published specs

Mostly, with a catch.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. KPN switches 2G off for good on 1 December 2027. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on KPN. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 20).

It works today, but calls on the Nokia 2720 Flip rely on a part of KPN's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and KPN's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

KPN (Netherlands)

  • 3G: Switched off (31 March 2022)
  • 2G: On until 1 December 2027 (KPN started moving customers who don't need it off 2G in March 2026)

Nokia 2720 Flip

  • 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20 (EU model)
  • 4G Calling: unknown – No network or maker VoLTE confirmation found.

The same applies to networks that run on KPN: Simyo. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
