Does the Nokia 3310 4G work on NOS?

Last checked 22 Oct 20263 sourcesWorked out from published specs

Mostly, with a catch.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts work over 2G, which NOS keeps for voice, but its 4G bands don't match, so expect no mobile data.

It works today, but calls on the Nokia 3310 4G rely on a part of NOS's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and NOS's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

NOS (Portugal)

  • 3G: Switched off (2024)
  • 2G: 2G stays on for voice calls nationwide

Nokia 3310 4G

  • 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 38, 39, 40, 41 (TD-LTE, Chinese model)
  • 4G Calling: unknown – Its 4G bands are Chinese TD-LTE bands, so 4G (and 4G Calling) won't work in the UK or Portugal.
