Does the Nokia 3310 4G work on Vodafone?
Mostly, with a catch.
Works with caveatsCalls and texts work over 2G, which Vodafone keeps running with no switch-off date announced. Its 4G bands (38, 39, 40, 41 (TD-LTE, Chinese model)) don't match Vodafone's, so expect no 4G data.
It works today, but calls on the Nokia 3310 4G rely on a part of Vodafone's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Vodafone's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
Vodafone (Ireland)
- 3G: Switched off (October 2024)
- 2G: On; no Irish operator has announced a 2G switch-off
Nokia 3310 4G
- 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
- 3G: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz
- 4G bands: 38, 39, 40, 41 (TD-LTE, Chinese model)
- 4G Calling: unknown – Its 4G bands are Chinese TD-LTE bands, so 4G (and 4G Calling) won't work in the UK or Portugal.
The same applies to networks that run on Vodafone: Clear Mobile, An Post Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
