Mostly, with a catch.

Works with caveats

Calls and texts work over 2G, but this is a 2G-only phone with no 4G. Vodafone's 2G is due to close in spring 2030, and then it will stop working.

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when Vodafone UK switches that off.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Vodafone UK's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

  • 3G: Switched off
  • 2G: Staying on for now; VodafoneThree says Vodafone's 2G closes in spring 2030

Nokia 6310 (2024)

  • 2G: GSM 900 / 1800
  • 3G: No 3G
  • 4G bands: None (2G-only phone)
  • 4G Calling: no – 2G-only, so no 4G Calling.

The same applies to networks that run on Vodafone UK: VOXI, Lebara. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
