Works with caveats

Calls and texts work over 2G, which NOS keeps for voice, but its 4G bands don't match, so expect no mobile data.

It works today, but calls on the Palm Phone (PVG100) rely on a part of NOS's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

  • 3G: Switched off (2024)
  • 2G: 2G stays on for voice calls nationwide

Palm Phone (PVG100)

  • 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 1700/2100 (AWS) MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 17, 66 (US bands)
  • 4G Calling: unknown – US bands only, so no 4G in the UK or Portugal.
