Does the Qin F21 Pro (global) work on 1&1?
Yes, for now.
Works with caveatsCalls and texts can fall back to 2G. 1&1 has no 2G of its own and uses Vodafone's 2G through national roaming, which ends in September 2028. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on 1&1. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38).
Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when 1&1 switches that off.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and 1&1's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
1&1 (Germany)
- 3G: No 3G network
- 2G: No 2G of its own: uses Vodafone's 2G via national roaming, so Vodafone's September 2028 date applies
Qin F21 Pro (global)
- 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
- 3G: Not published or not checked yet
- 4G bands: FDD 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20, 28; TDD 34, 38–41
- 4G Calling: not by default – VoLTE isn't enabled out of the box; a jtechforums guide enables it with root. UK owners report it working on giffgaff/O2 and Vodafone (calls over 2G).
