Works with caveats. Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. 1&1 has no 2G of its own and uses Vodafone's 2G through national roaming, which ends in September 2028. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on 1&1. Its 4G bands (2, 4, 5, 12, 25, 26, 41, 66, 71 (US bands)) don't match 1&1's, so expect no 4G data.

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when 1&1 switches that off.
