Does the TCL Flip 2 (US model) work on WindTre?
Mostly, with a catch.
Works with caveatsCalls and texts work over 2G, which WindTre keeps running with no switch-off date announced. Its 4G bands (2, 4, 5, 12, 25, 26, 41, 66, 71 (US bands)) don't match WindTre's, so expect no 4G data.
Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when WindTre switches that off.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and WindTre's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
