Does the emporia SIMPLICITY-LTE work on Odido?

Last checked 23 Oct 20266 sourcesWorked out from published specs

Yes, for now.

Works with caveats

Odido has no 2G, so calls and texts fall back to 3G, which this phone supports (900 MHz). Odido hasn't set a 3G switch-off date yet and promises at least six months' notice. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on Odido. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20).

Fine for now. The catch is how calls get through: if they ride on 2G or 3G, they stop when Odido switches that off.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Odido's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

Odido (Netherlands)

  • 3G: On for now; no date set, at least six months' notice promised
  • 2G: Switched off already

emporia SIMPLICITY-LTE

  • 2G: GSM 900 / 1800 (emporia manual)
  • 3G: 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20
  • 4G Calling: unknown – emporia's manual lists the 4G bands but doesn't mention VoLTE, and we haven't found it on a network's VoLTE list.
