Works with caveats

Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. VodafoneZiggo hasn't published a date, but has told the Dutch government it expects to switch 2G off in 2028 or 2029. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on Vodafone (VodafoneZiggo). 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 20).

It works today, but calls on the emporia SIMPLICITY-LTE rely on a part of Vodafone (VodafoneZiggo)'s network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Vodafone (VodafoneZiggo)'s own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

Vodafone (VodafoneZiggo) (Netherlands)

  • 3G: Switched off (February 2020)
  • 2G: On; no public date, but VodafoneZiggo expects to switch it off in 2028 or 2029

emporia SIMPLICITY-LTE

  • 2G: GSM 900 / 1800 (emporia manual)
  • 3G: 900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20
  • 4G Calling: unknown – emporia's manual lists the 4G bands but doesn't mention VoLTE, and we haven't found it on a network's VoLTE list.
