Does the Light Phone III work on SFR?
Yes, it should.
WorksLight's own compatibility checker says the Light Phone III will work with SFR in France (it lists Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free; checked 23 Oct 2026). Light's spec sheet lists 4G and 5G only, so calls go over 4G Calling and the 2G switch-off doesn't change anything for it.
Calls, texts and data should all work with a SFR SIM.

SFR (France)
- 3G: On until the end of 2028
- 2G: Switch-off in two phases: 15–30 November 2026 in big cities (incl. the Paris region, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nantes), then everywhere from 1 to 15 December 2026
Light Phone III
- 2G: Not listed on Light's spec sheet
- 3G: Not published or not checked yet
- 4G bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 40, 41, 42, 48, 53, 66, 71 + 5G
- 4G Calling: unknown – Light says the Light III is one worldwide model, but we haven't found a UK or Portuguese network that confirms 4G Calling on it. EE owners on r/LightPhone report 4G service.
The same applies to networks that run on SFR: RED by SFR. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
