Does the Light Phone III work on Three?
Yes, it works.
WorksLight's own compatibility checker says the Light Phone III will work with Three in the UK (it lists O2, VodafoneThree, EE and BT; checked 23 Oct 2026). Light's spec sheet lists 4G and 5G only, so calls go over 4G Calling.
You should be able to put a Three SIM in the Light Phone III and make calls, send texts and use data.

- 2G: Three has never had a 2G network, so calls need 4G Calling (VoLTE)

- 2G: Not listed on Light's spec sheet
- 3G: Not published or not checked yet
- 4G bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 40, 41, 42, 48, 53, 66, 71 + 5G
- 4G Calling: unknown – Light says the Light III is one worldwide model, but we haven't found a UK or Portuguese network that confirms 4G Calling on it. EE owners on r/LightPhone report 4G service.
The same applies to networks that run on Three: SMARTY, iD Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
