Works

Light's own compatibility checker says the Light Phone III will work with Vodafone (VodafoneZiggo) in the Netherlands (it lists KPN, VodafoneZiggo and Odido; checked 23 Oct 2026). Light's spec sheet lists 4G and 5G only, so calls go over 4G Calling.

You should be able to put a Vodafone (VodafoneZiggo) SIM in the Light Phone III and make calls, send texts and use data.

  • 2G: On; no public date, but VodafoneZiggo expects to switch it off in 2028 or 2029

  • 2G: Not listed on Light's spec sheet
  • 3G: Not published or not checked yet
  • 4G bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 40, 41, 42, 48, 53, 66, 71 + 5G
  • 4G Calling: unknown – Light says the Light III is one worldwide model, but we haven't found a UK or Portuguese network that confirms 4G Calling on it. EE owners on r/LightPhone report 4G service.
