Works with caveats

Calls and texts can fall back to 2G. Vodafone's 2G is due to close in spring 2030. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on Vodafone UK. Its 4G bands (2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 17, 66 (US bands)) don't match Vodafone UK's, so expect no 4G data.

Expect it to work, but read the switch-off dates below. That's where the catch is.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Vodafone UK's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

Vodafone UK (UK)

  • 3G: Switched off
  • 2G: Staying on for now; VodafoneThree says Vodafone's 2G closes in spring 2030

Palm Phone (PVG100)

  • 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 1700/2100 (AWS) MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 17, 66 (US bands)
  • 4G Calling: unknown – US bands only, so no 4G in the UK or Portugal.

The same applies to networks that run on Vodafone UK: VOXI, Lebara. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
