Does the Qin F21 Pro (global) work on EE?
Yes, for now.
Works with caveatsCalls and texts can fall back to 2G. EE starts switching 2G off from May 2029. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on EE. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 7, 20, 38).
It works today, but calls on the Qin F21 Pro (global) rely on a part of EE's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and EE's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
EE (UK)
- 3G: Switched off (completed 2024)
- 2G: Staying on for now; EE says it will start switching 2G off from May 2029
Qin F21 Pro (global)
- 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
- 3G: Not published or not checked yet
- 4G bands: FDD 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20, 28; TDD 34, 38–41
- 4G Calling: not by default – VoLTE isn't enabled out of the box; a jtechforums guide enables it with root. UK owners report it working on giffgaff/O2 and Vodafone (calls over 2G).
The same applies to networks that run on EE: BT Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
Other networks in the UK
- Vodafone UK Works with caveats
- O2 Works with caveats
