Does the Sonim XP3 work on O2?
Yes, for now.
Works with caveatsCalls and texts can fall back to 2G. O2 plans to start switching 2G off from 2029. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on O2. 4G data should work (shared bands: 1, 3, 8).
It works today, but calls on the Sonim XP3 rely on a part of O2's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.
We worked this out from the phone's published bands and O2's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

The same applies to networks that run on O2: giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
