Does the TCL Flip 3 (US model) work on Bouygues Telecom?

Last checked 23 Oct 20266 sourcesWorked out from published specs

Yes, for now.

Works with caveats

With 2G being switched off, calls and texts fall back to 3G, which this phone supports (2100 MHz). Bouygues Telecom plans to switch 3G off at the end of 2029. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on Bouygues Telecom. Its 4G bands (2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 41, 66 (US bands)) don't match Bouygues Telecom's, so expect no 4G data.

It works today, but calls on the TCL Flip 3 (US model) rely on a part of Bouygues Telecom's network with a switch-off on the way. Check the dates below before you commit for years.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Bouygues Telecom's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.

Bouygues Telecom (France)

  • 3G: On until the end of 2029
  • 2G: Switch-off on 15 November 2026 in Brest, Guipavas, Nancy and Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, then everywhere from 1 to 15 December 2026

TCL Flip 3 (US model)

  • 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G: 850 MHz, 1700/2100 (AWS) MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz
  • 4G bands: 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 41, 66 (US bands)
  • 4G Calling: unknown – Built for US networks.

The same applies to networks that run on Bouygues Telecom: B&You. Smaller networks sometimes handle 4G Calling differently, so check with them too.
