Does the TCL Flip 3 (US model) work on Free Mobile?

Q: Does the TCL Flip 3 (US model) work on Free Mobile?

Works with caveats. With 2G being switched off, calls and texts fall back to 3G, which this phone supports (2100 MHz). Free hasn't announced a 3G switch-off date. We haven't found confirmation that 4G Calling works on Free Mobile. Its 4G bands (2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 41, 66 (US bands)) don't match Free Mobile's, so expect no 4G data.

Mostly, with a catch.

Expect it to work, but read the switch-off dates below. That's where the catch is.

We worked this out from the phone's published bands and Free Mobile's own published network facts (see How we check). Nobody has confirmed it for this exact pairing yet.
